It has come to our attention that a third-party company with no affiliation to Aerus or ActivePure made fraudulent claims about our technology. This is something we will not tolerate. We understand and value the trust our customers place in us and we remain committed to their health and safety.

On March 13, Aerus and ActivePure proactively sent the below communication to all team members, franchisees and distributors to properly and effectively remind everyone of the technology's capabilities. Furthermore, we recommended that past and future customers continue to follow the COVID-19 CDC recommendations, reiterating that our technology by no means replaces the CDC's protocols.

Aerus takes these issues seriously. Immediately upon discovering the situation, Aerus began taking legal action. Aerus initiated a cease and desist to the third party company.

We are conducting a thorough internal investigation to determine how this organization began reselling our products without our knowledge or approval.

For more than 90 years, over 50 million customers have trusted Aerus. We are proud of our patented technology. Transparency in the independent scientific studies backing our technology is the very foundation upon which Aerus builds. We firmly and confidently believe that our ActivePure technology provides the most powerful surface and air protection in the market, as recognized by the Space Foundation as Certified Space Technology.

As we have said and will continue to say, our technology has not been tested against the Coronavirus (COVID19), which is an RNA virus, and we cannot and will not say that it kills or prevents that virus.

We welcome any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact Philip Urso, SVP of Business Development, Thank you for your continued trust in Aerus.

ActivePure and Coronavirus (COVID19)

March 13, 2020

Many of you have been asking for more information on ActivePure and the Coronavirus (COVID19). To be clear with everyone, ActivePure has not been tested against the Coronavirus (COVID19) which is an RNA virus and we cannot say that it kills or prevents that virus.

ActivePure has been tested in a variety of settings and has been proven effective in reducing bacteria, viruses and other pathogens on surfaces and in the air in university and laboratory tests. These tests have shown that ActivePure is effective against DNA and RNA viruses like these, Swine Flu (H1N1), Avian Bird Flu (H5N8), Hepatitis A (HAV), and MS2 bacteriophage.

Protecting our families, neighbors and relatives starts with following the CDC guidelines below regarding the Coronavirus (COVID19), such as frequent handwashing and disinfecting touchpoints in our homes like doorknobs and faucets. ActivePure by no means replaces these protocols.

Given the nature of the Coronavirus virus and its potential health effects, many families will want to go above and beyond, the CDC’s advice and protocols. ActivePure technology may be an additional tool to create the best environments possible.
